Roofing Ballast

There are several types of roofing ballast removed during re-roofing projects, all of which may be recycled with Nationwide Foam!

We recycle both major types of roofing ballast, including:

Ballast Stone - Natural Stone Aggregate

Ballast StoneBallast stone is normally made up of 3/4" minus natural river rock used to cover, hold down and protect the roofing membrane and insulation. Ballast stone is normally shoveled or vacuumed off the roof.

 

Ballast Pavers - Concrete or Rubber

Ballast PaversBallast pavers are normally made from concrete or rubber and are used to cover, hold down and protect the roofing membrane and insulation. Pavers are commonly 2 x 2 feet and may be handled and stacked by one person.
